Why does my dog spit up water after drinking, but not vomit?

I have 2.5 year old neutered male dog, he's 40pounfs. My question, started couple days ago, when he drinks his water some water comes back up it's not like he's vomiting. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | 4 years and 10 months old | 40 lbs
