Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 18 years and 11 months old | 80 lbs
My father feeds his dogs half commercial dog food, and half homemade food, which consists of any variety of meat, broccoli, cauliflower, wild brown rice, radishes, celery, russet potatoes and carrots... Would that be safe for a diabetic dog? I want to improve his diet.

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. That sounds like a great diet. Just make sure the meat is cooked (not raw) and no bones (cooked or raw). Increasing the exercise helps as well. If Ceasar is not currently active increase the activity slowly to prevent injury. Best of luck with Caesar!
