How to keep my bird safe & comfy on a long car trip? Sedation?

Pet's info: Bird | Parakeet | Female | unspayed

I'm going to a car trip with my bird. The trip will have between 4 or 5 hours. I bought a transport box to her and put some things to she get a bit confortable with the place. There is something that i could put to she get more familiar or will need a sedative to her? ( I will put a perch in the floor of the box, the box it's wet because i put she in the box to test her tolerance and she did this mess. Unfortunately the trip is tomorrow, so i didn't can give a properly box to she

That transport cage is fine. You don't need to add anything else and you definitely don't need to sedate Kali. The only change I would recommend is to use a water bottle to prevent spills. Keep the cage away from open windows, vents and strong drafts. Use a light blanket to cover the cage to provide more security.
