My scared kitten won't leave my room. How can I help her explore?

Question

My four month old kitten, who I got over a month ago is terrified and refuses to leave my room. Have her liter box and food in here because I live with another person. Who wants to see her but she just gets terrified. No claws, unless I keep holding her. And no hissing. How can I get her not to be scared of exploring? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Female | spayed
