Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 8 years and 11 months old | 62 lbs
My dog suddenly has a limp (holding one of front paws up). It is not swollen, there is nothing in feet pads and no cuts, all nails are ok. He does not pull away or cry when feet are touched or if I rub or apply pressure on the ankle and up the leg. I thought maybe he slept on it funny but it’s been a few hours with no improvement. Any help is appreciated

Poor Charlie sounds like he is in pain! He may have strained a ligament. I recommend resting him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a lead only, and bring him right back in when he's done. If he still appears painful after this time, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. He may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

Oh no, poor Buddy! He could have injured himself or may have strained a ligament. I recommend resting him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a lead only, and bring him right back in when he's done. If he still appears painful (limping is a sign of pain in dogs) after this time, then I would take him into the vet for an exam.
