My dog's claw came off, toe is red and swollen. Does he need a vet?

Dogs claw came completely off. Red and swollen toe. How can I treat at home.

Unfortunately, you cannot treat this at home. The redness and swelling indicates an infection, which can only be treated by a vet. In addition, this will be painful to Kip, and there are no OTC pain medications you can give him. Many human ones are toxic to dogs, and can be fatal if given. Please take him into a vet as soon as possible.
