My cat is hoarse voice. He has been like this for the past week. Is this an early sign of old age? 9 years and 4 months old. He's nudged and is otherwise in good shape, except for a hoarse meow. His breathing is fine, and he is eating and drinking as usual. He likes to jump on the bed and on the radiator to look out the window. What are some good meds or home alternatives to cure his

Hi, and thanks for your question. This sign could be compatible with an upper respiratory tract inflammation/infection or possibly to a chronic laryngitis (inflammatory, allergic, infective). A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics may be needed.
