Dog vomiting undigested watermelon after 9 hours. Is this normal?

Hi merry Christmas Lily started vomiting tonight She seems okay in herself otherwise but what surprised me is she had a bit of watermelon 9 hrs ago which she has been bringing chunks back Surely it should hv been digested by now? There's no loose stools and I know dogs can frequently vomit for not much of a reason just surprised by the melon which she has had previously and enjoyed. Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | spayed | 8 years and 2 months old | 14.5 lbs

Merry Christmas! Yes, the food should have been digested by now, so it may be the watermelon was upsetting to her stomach. I can give you a home remedy for her to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.
