Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 3 months and 18 days old | 4.18 lbs

Here’s Bella, she’s 3 months pld and recovering from parvovirus and patasitic worm infection. Is there any care that I can provide to help her cope up? Her last platet count was about 67k And her Hgb and hematocrit is low :(

Hello. Poor Bella. She does have quite a bit to recover from. The most important thing for her at this point in time is to get food into her. Even a few ccs or a teaspoon or two every hour or so will help. A blended or pureed food or baby food may be best & if you use a baby formula makes sure it does not contain onions. Otherwise, feed her the best quality puppy food you can afford. She just needs some to heal & hopefully she will recover totally in a few weeks. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
