Why does my cat have bleeding sores around her anus after kittens?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | unspayed | 2 years old

My 2years old has a litter 40days old. Everything went well but a week ago she started having little sours like spots around the anus's place. They are now noticeable and slightly bleed as she licks off. What is this thing how should I cope it with. There's no vet in my home town. Her appetite is good.

I am sorry for the delay in answering your question. I can’t say for sure what that is based on the picture, but I suspect she’s got an infection in the skin of that area. Keep it clean with warm clean water and you can use some dilute Betadine (iodine) once a day as well. If it’s not getting better, take her to a vet to be evaluated and to further advise you. An antibiotic such as amoxicillin may be needed. Thank you for asking Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
