My 5-year-old chorkie suddenly can't see. Is he going blind?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 5 years and 7 months old | 7.6 lbs

Why can't my chorkie see all of a sudden? He was fine last week..he is only 5 1/2 yrs old. I noticed he had got mucousy last week..took him to get and they said he was fine. This week he started running into table...afraid to go down stairs. I tested to see if he could see so m getting I normally give him and he could only sniff it out. I'm so afraid he is going or already blind. But how?? He was fine last week.

I do not know what is causing this but you must take him to the emergencies urgently. sudden blindness can be caused by various conditions, mainly neurological diseases, it can also be caused by sudden high blood pressure and head trauma.
