Is my bird's droppings color normal after eating fruits and herbs?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Lovebird | Male | unneutered | 11 months and 23 days old

Are ToTos feces color normal? He does eat chop with kale, zucchini, and other fruits. He also eats green herbs. His behavior hasn't changed with no increase in water, droppings, or weight loss/gain.

Hello, thank you for your question about ToTo. Based on the photo you have attached I believe that these are normal in color and I would not be concerned. It is possible that the pigments in fruits/veggies/herbs in his diet have caused some mild color change. I would recommend continuing to monitor this. If at any point he develops any symptoms or begins acting abnormal I would recommend having him evaluated by a veterinarian. Hope this helps, good luck!
