My white tree frog has a leg scar, but acts normal. Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Amphibian | Unknown - Amphibian | Male

When I bought my white tree frog from Petsmart it had what looks like an old scar on his leg (see attached picture). So far he has been acting as normal as my other white tree frog, other than being a little shy and better at hiding. I've had him for over a week now, should I warrant concern? (And what is something I can do if there is.)

Unfortunately, no image was attached to your question. If the wound/scar is old or healed and the frog is behaving normally, there is likely no cause for concern. Monitor for redness, swelling, discharge, lethargy or loss of appetite. These are symptoms of potential infection and should be addressed by your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating amphibians.
