What to do if my kitten is wheezing, coughing, and sleeping a lot?

We adopted a 9 week old kitten a couple of weeks ago. About four days ago, he started sneezing and watering in one eye. The symptoms seems to subside. Today, he is wheezing and coughing. We have a vaporizor going. Is there anything else we can do before taking him in to see a vet? He is sleeping quite a bit too. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 months and 16 days old
