Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 9 months and 27 days old | 10 lbs
My cat was playing with another cat and while chasing each other they knocked over a candle and it got all over my cats tail. He’s not burned, he’s letting me touch the area, he’s playin with toys, and drinking/eating normally. However I’m having trouble getting him to sit still so I can get it out and I’m worried him cleaning himself will make himself because of ingesting the wax. All vets and groomers in my area are closed and while he’s doing fine I want to make sure he won’t get sick.

If Gatsby eats the wax, it will likely just pass naturally. You can try to get the wax out by breaking most of it off. If you take Gatsby to a groomer on Wednesday or a vet, they may be able to shave off the hair.
