Rescued cat has lip infection: Is it serious? Do I need a vet?

Hello I rescued a cat off the street and looks like an infection on her top lip.I just want to know if this is serious or I need to get some medication from walmart. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 10 lbs

That does look pretty serious and irritated. I would bring the cat to a vet ASAP for an exam and care to determine the exact cause of the problem. Walmart is unlikely to have the right medication and without a diagnosis from a vet you won't know what to get anyway.
