Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 8 months old | 22 lbs
My pug drinks A LOT of water. I've had him to the vet several times and had him tested for diabetes and Cushing which were negative. The vet said that his liver enzymes were elevated but seems to be at a loss for a diagnosis and said maybe a liver biopsy. He is very active and playful but pees lakes! I am desperate to find an answer. Btw I have started to feed him homemade food that seems to help a little. Please help

It is unusual for such a young dog to have those serious medical problems. I would switch to Hills kidney diet dry to supplement your homemade food. That has controlled amounts of sodium and phosphorus and will protect his kidneys from overworking. I’m not overly concerned about the liver enzyme elevation unless it continues to rise. I would have the values rechecked in three months. If this isn’t improving then I think it’s time for an evaluation with an internal medicine specialist. Your veterinarian can make a referral for you. Also some puppies just over drink as a behavior problem and also the food you were giving previously may have been very high in sodium causing increased thirst. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Ollie.
