My dog ate about half a 5g tube of lip balm that contains shea butter, beeswax, and coca butter. He is 2 years old and about 13-15 lbs. Is he in any danger?

If your dog did not eat the actual tube and only the content, there should be no problem as non of these ingredients is toxic. However, there is a possibility that Max may get diarrhea. If that happens, you can do the following: Take your dog off food for about 12 hrs, then feed bland food such as boiled rice with boiled white chicken meat in small quantities over several feeds a day. Do this for a day, then start replacing small quantities of rice with his normal food over the next two days until he is at the normal quantity of his regular food. If the diarrhea does not go away by the end of the third day, or your dog is lethargic and dehydrated, you will need to take your dog to a veterinarian for an exam.
