Why is my cat lethargic, vomiting, and not moving like usual?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 9 months old

Hello, my cat is being very lethargic. He's still eating and drinking, but he's not moving as much and isn't very mobile. I have a Vet appointment for him tomorrow. I'm so concerned! He also vomited earlier today. He doesn't usually act like this. What could be wrong? He also doesn't run around like he used to.

Unfortunately lethargy is a very common sign of many things include systemic illness, infection, injury, or inflammation. t's good that Gizmo is seeing a vet tomorrow. Keep him warm and comfortable, and keep him indoors for now if he's allowed outdoors. Best of luck.
