My puppy threw up whole food & pine needles after recent shots. Why?

My 17 week old puppy has been fine all day until about 1/2 an hour ago when he threw up all his food whole. The throw up had a few pine needles in it. Over the weekend he got his 1 years rabies and his first dhlppc shots. He it still shaky though. I checked he is not running a fever. His temperature was 100.2°f. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 months and 29 days old | 21.5 lbs

He might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 8 hours then offer him boiled boneless chicken and rice every 4-6 hours in small portions. if he is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put him back gradually on his normal food. If he continues vomiting or is not eating, take him to the vet to get treatment.
