My kitten fell and has a red dot on her lip. Is it an injury?

Hello. So my kitten fell really hard earlier from a far distance. She landed on her face. When I got home earlier, she didn’t have this red dot on her lip. After she fell, a few hours later this showed up. Could this be because she fell? Or could it God forbid be something else?

Hello. Hopefully, Delilah did not suffer any severe injuries such as a fracture of internal injuries. This looks like a blood blister, so just a bad bruise. As long as she seems to be doing well, no incoordination, eating, playing like a normal kitten then I would not be too concerned about this spot. Please look at her eyes. Make sure there are no unusual eye movements, like a quick back & forth one & both of her pupils are the same size. If there is anything unusual please have Delilah seen ASAP to make sure she does not have a concussion. But if all is well, then just watch this spot. If it is just a bruise, it should start to go away in a couple of days. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
