My dog ate a worm and vomited blood. Is his throat injured?

Pet's info: Dog | English Springer Spaniel | Male | neutered | 2 years and 4 months old | 50 lbs

my 2 yr old dog ate a worm and there up orange liquid which had 3 drops of blood in it . could it be that he injured his throat because he was holding back the throw up .m, or because of the worm . he seems fine he ate and drank and hasn’t thrown up in 18 hours or show any sign of sickness

I doubt the worm caused the bleeding, but some dogs with large amounts of intestinal parasites can actually vomit them up from the stomach. Small spots of blood usually indicated irritation to the esophagus. I would continue to monitor Mex for any decrease in appetite or energy level, and see a vet if that occurs or if the vomiting continues.
