The cold will not cause your kitten to become ill unless it is causing significant stress. In general, indoor dwellings are warm enough that this does not happen. You could lay out rugs on the floor so that she has an option to walk on a warmer surface. Placing a few beds around the house or even elevating the beds off the floor will also provide more protection. Cold water will generally not harm pets but it may be unpleasant to drink. Warming the water 2-3 times a day and then showing her the warmed water will give her the opportunity to drink it if she wants. Persians are very furry cats and she may even have hair between her toes which do provide some protection from the cold. I hope this helps and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
