My dog is gaining weight on light food. Should I try weight control?

I give my dog OsO Lite SCIENCE Diet and is gaining weight instead of staying slim he's not fat he's stocky but weighs 31lbs and he's not a big dog he's MEDIUM...he's rottweiler, mixed with chihuahua and German Shepherd...should i give him weight control. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 2 years and 8 months old

I would stay with the light diet. Weight controls usually just controls his weight where it is at currently. You could try to decrease the amount being fed and replace it with canned green beans to help increase fiber and decrease calories. I would also ensure he is getting some daily exercise.
