Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Puppies need more calories and vitamins/minerals than adult dogs do help them grow appropriately. Whatever brand of food you choose, it is important to keep them on a puppy formula diet specifically until they are about a year old. After that, it is okay to transition to an adult brand formula. It is ok if your puppy watches you while you eat as long as he doesn't whine or beg for food. To help decrease any begging behavior at the dinner table, you can feed Snoopy his own food at the same time you eat so he is distracted with his own food and never feed him food from the table as this may encourage bad begging behavior!
