Thanks so much for your reply! This is a closer picture of the spot? I was starting to panic as I thought it was the start of something that could be dangerous to her, like a tumour or something? Do you think it's definitely something caused by bacteria and nothing to worry about?

My personal opinion is that there is nothing to be worried about and it does not look like anything serious considering her age and the picture. Unfortunately I cannot give you more specific answers as differentials are mainly trauma (it may be scar tissue) or possibly an infection, but a check up would be essential to be able to confirm it.
