My 12 year old feline has a UTI. This was just discovered right as the vet closed this evening. She has blood coming out of her urinary area. She has an appointment with the vet in the morning. She is in obvious pain. Is there any way I can keep her comfortable for the next 12 hours?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If it truly is just a urinary tract infection and she is not obstructed and otherwise doing well then it should not be an issue waiting until tomorrow morning. If she seems too uncomfortable or becomes obstructed, she may need to see a veterinarian before then like tonight to at least start medications for pain and antibiotics. Best of luck!

You can wait until the morning as long as she is continuing to pass some urine. The problem is if they are not producing any urine - that would be an emergency. Just please take her as soon as you can. Having a UTI and/or cystitis is very painful.
