It will take time for Champ to feel 100%, but it would be good to have him eating every day. Go to his vets and get some Hill's A/D. It's very palatable, and oftentimes entices dogs to eat. Best of luck.

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Champ has undergone major surgery so it may take him a few days to a week or two to get back on track with his normal schedule. If he is eating every other day, that is fine for now. It is good to hear he is eating and seems to be in good spirits and has fairly good energy. If this pattern continues past a week or two or he suddenly goes a few days without eating, then this would be cause for concern and something else may be going on here and worth a recheck visit with his veterinarian.
