My dog has anxiety. How do I stop his barking, whining, and peeing?

Hello! My 6 y.o beagle has very high anxiety . He gets extremely stressed out when he’s left alone and has to constantly be next to someone . We have to crate him during the day for work and as soon as he’s put in there it’s non stop barking and whining . He barks and whines in the car and sometimes for no reason at all . He also LOVES to eat cat litter and sometimes randomly pees (puddles) on the floor even if he was just let out . HELP ?! How do I get him to be more relaxed and less anxious ?!

Poor Freeman! You can get a pheromone diffuser called DAP that helps dogs with anxiety and pair that will a DAP pheromone collar that releases pheromones when in contact with his skin. If those do not help him, then I recommend having him seen by a vet to discuss the use of anti-anxiety medications. Best of luck.

You could try an Adaptil collar and see if that helps. Otherwise, talk to your vet about trying an anti-anxiety, like Prozac or Trazodone, to help control his anxiety. http://www.adaptil.com/us/#redirected
