My bunny is head bobbing after ear infection treatment. Is it serious?

Hii! I have a 7 month old bunny and I just took him to the vet 3 days ago. They said he has an ear infection and drained it and gave me ear drops to give him. Ever since then he’s been doing this weird neck movement where sometimes when I hand him something it almost looks like he’s pushing his head in & out a few times in a row (like towards my hand and away from it) and I’m not sure if it’s maybe just from the pain of the ear infection or if it’s more serious

Thanks for reaching out about Nugget. Rabbit is difficult to drain as it is very thick and caseous. Sometimes ear drops are not enough to penetrate this thick material and systemic antibiotics need to be added. Culturing the infection will help identify the bacterium and therefore streamline treatments. The head bobbing could be a sign of an internal ear infection affecting the equilibrium component of the ear. You should probably consult your veterinarian again. Good luck.
