Dog ear infection with yeast: Is amoxicillin the right treatment?

Hi, My dog has a bad ear infection, with yeast in it. I want to know how much Amoxocillan to give to him to cure the infection. i currently have 250mg chewable tablets of Amoxocillan. He weighs about 80lbs and for how long should i keep him on it? thank you! Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 6 years and 6 months old | 80 lbs

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic and not effective against yeast which is fungal. Contact your vets office to prescribe appropriate medications for him as well as a cleaner to remove as much debris as possible. Sedation may be required if painful
