My dog has severe allergies & skin problems. How to treat affordably?

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | 9 years and 3 months old | 50 lbs

Hello I have a dog named meeka. She has allergies food allergies. I have spent so much money on vet visits and still end up with the same out come she is getting worse she has had skin scrappings done also to make sure she didn't have mites..any suggestions? I am very limited on money last estimate I got was 500 dollars I don't have that..and can vitamin e work to help the process..she is so red I also bath her in anti fungal shampoo from the yeast on her skin and severe ear effections l also.

Allergies can be very frustrating and unfortunately also expensive to treat, especially since there is generally no cure for allergies and animals will need to have treatment throughout their lives. I would guess that Meeka might have environmental allergies in addition to her food allergies unless she has been exposed to something she is allergic to like a new food or treat recently. Vitamin E oil is unlikely to help. You could consider seeing a dermatologist - while this might be more expensive short term it could be less expensive in the long run if the dermatologist can help pinpoint the allergy and prescribe medications or even immunotherapy (allergy injections) to try to eliminate the allergy.
