My cat is scared, heart racing. Did he eat drugs or was he hurt?

ally is my cat and when I came home I called him and he walked towards me but couldnt follow my voice . he was scared bad and the vet thinks its possible he ate drugs that my relative could have left around. his heart is racing too and vet gave a sedative. what could it be , could someone have hurt him. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 2 years and 8 months old | 10 lbs

If your relatives are doing drugs and left them out, certainly Ally could have gotten into them causing his symptoms. It is possible they could have inadvertently hurt him. I would forbid your relatives from doing drugs in your home to keep him safe. Best of luck.
