My male dog's penis started bleeding when excited. What should I do?

Everytime my dog gets excited he expels blood/mucad out of his private part. Just started today he's a boy

I'm wondering if he's neutered or not. If he's not neutered, then this could simply be sperm coming out of his penis. If it's bloody, then there may be a problem with his prostate. To be safe, have him checked out by a vet. Best of luck.

    Blood coming from Blu's penis is never normal and I recommend to have him examined today. Possible causes include a bladder infection, a prostate infection, bladder stones, abscess on the prostate or a mass on either organ. The vet will need to check his urine and prostate. Other diagnostics may also be recommended. Please feel free to post any additional questions.

    Hello. The blood can be from a urinary tract infection or possibly even an infection in his prostrate gland. As long as he can still pass urine you can wait a few days to have him evaluated by your veterinarian, but do not ignore the blood for long.
