Can my new dog play with old toys from a pet with fungal disease?

My dog passed away from fungal pneumonia approx 6 months ago. We kept some of the toys (mostly stuffed)is it safe for our new dog to play with those toys? The toys were kept in our broom closet in a Walmart bag. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 40 lbs
