Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Male | neutered | 5 years and 8 months old | 65 lbs
My dog was limping when I came home yesterday. His ankle feel swollen. None of the open clinics in my area have an x ray machine or a vet on duty. Is it ok to wait until Monday?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Sebastian. It would be best to ha e him seen this weekend. The swelling bothers me. However, if this is not possible then he needs to be seen first thing Monday morning. I would keep him extremely quiet this weekend. This means no running, jumping or stairs. Take him outside on a leash and bring him straight back in so that he cannot play outside. Do not give any over-the-counter pain medications as these can be toxic to dogs. I hope this information helps!

Poor Remi! I recommend resting her for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take her out to toilet on a leash, and bring her right back in when she's done. If hse still appears painful after this time, then I would take her into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. She may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give her any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. I hope this helps!
