What illness caused my dog's tarry stool, anemia, and death?

Hello I have one question my dog has already passed I just want to know how for about a year he exhibited some diarrhea from certain foods he ate human foods for many years never dog food it was off and on I started rinsing the food and it would stop then some meats and foods he wouldn’t take eat anymore fast forward now he wouldn’t eat for 4 days and passed he had very droopy soft dark brown to black stool he was diagnosed with anemia his oxygen count was 10 I want to know thenameofthesickness

It is impossible to know without a full post mortem exam exactly what was going on internally. The soft tarry stool and low blood count indicates a source of internal bleeding in the stomach or small intestine but there is no way to predict why this occurred - tumours, viral and bacterial infections, twisted bowel, obstructions or severe inflammatory bowel disease can all cause similar signs
