My 2-month-old adopted kitten is shy. Is this normal behavior?

I just adopted 2 kittens 2 months old. One is doing great. The other one is very distant not much interaction with me or his sister. It has been 5 days now and I'm starting to worry. I have never had a kitten behave this way. Is this normal behavior? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

Some kittens are more shy than others. Give him time. Pet him and talk to him, eventually he will be tamer and interact. Imagine he is in a new place, with new smells, people without his mommy. 2 months of age is still very young to be taken from the mother, so he probably feels very lonely and sad after his mommy.
