Is it safe to give my senior dog heartworm medicine if I'm late?

Hello, I can not remember if I gave my dogs their heart guard on the first as they were to have received it. Today is the 12th. My one dog is 14 ands elevated liver enzymes, the pother two are 10. Is it safe to give? It has been cold here for awhile and no signs of mosquitos for over two months. Pet's info: Dog | Polish Lowland Sheepdog | Female | spayed | 14 years old | 56 lbs

Wait two more days and it should be safe. Make a note in the calender to give it a month from now so you do not forget. Make a check mark next to the entry when you have given the medication, so you have a record of giving it to your dog. Happy Holidays!
