Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired) | Female | spayed | 3 years and 6 months old | 7 lbs

My daschund Penelope is bloated, doesnt seem too uncomfortable but I worry about her. Is there any way to soothe her? Her stomachs is larger than usual which I think may be because she ate too much today.

IF she is otherwise asymptomatic and seems comfortable, I would just half her food at the next feeding. No ned to do anything further than this. Her stomach should come down after you decrease her food amount. Just make sure to feed her normal portions from here on out. Thanks for visiting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach and best wishes with your pet Penelope. Take care!
