Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 5 years and 7 months old | 7 lbs
My female dog has just left heat. We think there is a possibility that she is pregnant. Today my dog started acting strange around noon. She was shakey, chirping, vomiting. I dont know if these are early signs of pregnancy but I'm hoping u will help me and my family out. But we think she is in pain and her abdomen is not swollen

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. If she just stopped bleeding within the last week, it could be pregnancy. The vomiting should be occasional and she should still be relatively active and eating close to her normal amount. If it has been 1 week or more since she stopped bleeding, I recommend taking her in immediately as this could be a sign of pyometra- a life-threatening infection of the uterus. If you’re unsure, take her to the vet. A rectal temperature and god physical exam can help narrow it down quickly. Best wishes to you and Gigi!
