My bird has a dog bite wound. What emergency care can I give?

My young ring neck got bitten by my dog on her lower half just above her leg she got a puncture wound she flew off the balcony and onto the ground she’s been in her cage the vet I called advised I put cornstarch mixed with antiseptic power from the chemist on the wound the bleeding has since stopped she’s super stressed an i can hear her breathing sometimes I think she’s trying to rest she’s in a dark room with a towel over her is there anything more I can do? To prevent her from dying

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It seems like you have done about everything you can to get her to improve at home. At this point, she really needs to see a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They can check what the extent of the injuries may be to try to get her to improve. Keep in mind that dog on bird attacks can result in a lot of trauma. Best of luck!
