Why is my dog licking his tail, anus, and testicles with hair loss?

My 2 year old staff is licking his base of tail, anus and testicles a lot he also sometimes licks where he has been lying down where his anus would of been also he has a bit of thinning of the hair on the top at the base of the tail with a bit of acne it looks like, any help would be greatly appreciated !! Pet's info: Dog | American Staffordshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 11 months old | 44 lbs

Poor guy. I would be concerned about his anal glands being full, or him having a superficial bacterial or yeast infection at the base of his tail. For either issue, a quick vet visit should give him a lot of relief. Even if it started as a an anal gland issue, he may have caused a superficial infection with constant licking and now need a medicated bath or even oral antibiotics. I hope that helps and that he's back to normal soon!
