My dog barks at my mom and pees in her room. What should I do?

Can a dog hate someone? My mom and dog don’t get along... every time mom comes home Cherokee barks and growls at her. For the first time I have potty trained my dog and it’s been a long road but she’s finally got it! But my mom says that she is peeing in her room but I don’t smell it or see a stain. The whole house is pee smell free!! Am I missing something? How do I handle this?

Yes, it is possible for a dog to develop a negative relationship with a human. To correct this issue, your mom will need to start using positive reinforcement techniques to build a positive bond with Cherokee. I would recommend discussing this with your mom. It could be as simple as having your mom toss a tasty treat across the room to Cherokee every time they meet. Shutting the door to the room will prevent her from urinating in there. Any urine accidents should be cleaned with pet enzymatic cleaner to remove any lingering smell or pheromones.
