Why is my dog excessively licking one paw? What are the causes?

Pet's info: Dog | Bichon Frise | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 5 months old | 17 lbs

Hi It’s been a few days that Ellie Licks her hand sometimes but More since yesterday Ellie licks all her claw but she licks one of her hand more What is the cause? can I put her claw Betamethasone Ointment and close elizabethan collar?

I am sorry to hear about Ellie. Licking a paw can be a sign of pain, allergy, infection, wound, infected or torn toe nail. You can place an e-collar on her and use an ointment such as hydrocortisone or betamethasone, however if it is not improving in a few days a vet visit is recommended.
