Pet's info: Small Animal | Guinea Pig | Female | spayed
My guinea pig is very old. She is maybe 7-8, I am not sure. We rescued her from an abusive environment. Originally, she came with another female. This past year, though, her partner died. We have decided not to get another guinea because we don't want more. What can we do to make her as comfortable and happy as she can be until she eventually passes?

Thanks for reaching out about Marshmallow. Monitoring appetite and water consumption, defecation and urination are important. Heat support during the winter could provide additional comfort as guinea pigs usually don't like cold weather, and might aid with arthritis (common in older GPs). Good luck.
