How to keep an old guinea pig comfortable and happy in old age?

My guinea pig is very old. She is maybe 7-8, I am not sure. We rescued her from an abusive environment. Originally, she came with another female. This past year, though, her partner died. We have decided not to get another guinea because we don't want more. What can we do to make her as comfortable and happy as she can be until she eventually passes? Heat support during the winter could provide additional comfort as guinea pigs usually don't like cold weather, and might aid with arthritis (common in older GPs). Good luck.
