My dog has a white film over her eye. What does it mean and what to do?

Hi a stray dog a look out for has developed a white film over her eye. I will try to get a vet to look at it but generally this doesn't work out (I live in Nepal where there are very few qualified vets that will see street dogs). Please let me know from the picture what's wrong with her eye and what I can do about it. Many thanks, Alina

This looks like a corneal ulceration. The white film is a mixture between the lesin itself and the attempt of healing. Chloramphenicol 0,5% three times daily (it needs to be stored in the fridge) and then (after 10 ms) a gel to protect the eye (like Viscotears liquid gel or similar) can be used in the meantime. Please take another (closer this time if you can) pic of the eye so we can give you more specific suggestions about it.
