Should I worry about a lump on my pot belly pig's belly after vaccine?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Farm Animal | Pig | Female | unspayed | 42 lbs

I have a pot belly pig who just got her vaccines not that long ago. I was rubbing her belly today and noticed a little ball inside her belly by where she got her vaccine. Should I be worried?

That may be a local reaction which is likely to disappear in the next few weeks. If not a check up would be required as a localized spot of infection is possible (so it could be an abscess or a granuloma).
