Is a simple blood test enough to check my dog's copper levels?

Can vets just test my dogs copper levels without doing a cbc or any other tests? Pet's info: Dog | American Staffordshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 1 year and 8 months old | 74 lbs

Unfortunately the value of this test in blood is not relevant and would not help with any diagnosis. Copper accumulation usually happens in the liver so either a biopsy or a general health profile (with liver function testing) may be much more helpful to diagnose this toxicity.
