My dog has dry, flaky skin and a small bump on her neck. What is it?

What could be the cause of this? She has this one spot of dry/flakey skin on her neck. The rest of her skin looks fine. There is also a small bump near. It does not hurt her. What can I do about it? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 9 years and 10 months old | 4 lbs

I would encourage you to check in with your veterinarian to check for this possibility so that therapy can be used accordingly. If it is just an infection, your veterinarian may put her on an anti-microbial shampoo. Best of luck!
